چکیده

The objective of the current study was to quantify genetic variability, heritability, and advance as a percentage mean among 20 genotypes pea (Pisum sativum L.) using ten quantitative characters at Horticulture Research Centre (HRC) Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University Agriculture Technology, Meerut, U.P, in years 2021–2022. results ANOVA revealed substantial variations across for each attribute, demonstrating broad range variability. showed that traits under study, phenotypic coefficient variation (PCV) higher than genotypic (GCV). According estimations, number pods per plant has greatest diversity (26.63), whereas additive is least (26.47). In this assessment, highest heritability found be around 60% (in sense) days maturity (99.39) followed by height (98.98), pod yield (98.95), (98.89), (98.80), 50% flowering (98.25), length (89.35), germination (84.57), seeds (83.91) minimum width (73.83). Additionally, high combination with gene action (>20%) Number Pods plant, Plant (cm), Pod (g), Days Flowering, Maturity, (q/ha), which appear suggest presence imposes population improvement selection. We could use particular certain characteristics hybridization.

Genetic variability, heritability, Genetic advance, correlation coefficient and path analysis in gladiolus

Gladiolus (Gladiolus floribundus L.) is a bulbous ornamental plant belongs to family Iridaceae. It is an elegant cut flower grown for its magnificent spikes. The estimates of heritability varied from 99.5% to 61.1%. The highest heritability estimates in broad sense was observed for the characters vase life (99.5%) and lowest for height at 30 days after planting. Expected genetic advance express...

Genetic control of floral zygomorphy in pea (Pisum sativum L.).

Floral zygomorphy (flowers with bilateral symmetry) has multiple origins and typically manifests two kinds of asymmetries, dorsoventral (DV) and organ internal (IN) asymmetries in floral and organ planes, respectively, revealing the underlying key regulators in plant genomes that generate and superimpose various mechanisms to build up complexity and different floral forms during plant developme...

Heritability and genetic advance in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)

The present study was carried out to estimate genetic variability parameters for some traits such as pods per plant, cell membrane stability, one thousand kernel weight, flowering period, grain filling period, chlorophyll content, relative water content, leaf excised water content, seed per pod and pod length, in 16 winter rapeseed genotypes. Statistical analysis showed significant differences ...

Article info: Received: 30 April 2014 Accepted: 29 January 2015 ABSTRACT The trial was carried during 2011-2013 on the second experimental field of the Institute of Forage Crops – Pleven, Bulgaria. Eight generations (P1, P2, F1, F2, RC1 and each reciprocal generation) from a cross between the Shtambovii and Pleven 10 varieties were sown in this study. Five traits were evaluated: number of pods ...
